Medihoney Apinate Rope consists of a calcium alginate dressing impregnated with 100% Medical Manuka Honey in 1.9 x 30cm sizes.
The dressings protects the cavity/deep wound by creating a barrier against wound pathogens, including antibiotic resistant strains, and therefore reducing the risk of infection.
The osmotic action produces an outflow of body fluid which assists the removal of wound bacteria, endotoxins, debris and slough, providing a cleaner wound, rapidly removing malodour and helping to reduce the inflammatory response, oedema and exudate levels.
