Indications

Zinc oxide has a soothing and protective effect and has been shown to have a role in wound healing. ZIPZOC is used for the treatment of chronic leg ulcers. Where the cause is due to chronic venous insufficiency (poor circulation in the veins), ZIPZOC can be used under compression bandaging. For use by health professionals or consumers under the direction of a doctor


Contraindications

ZIPZOC is contraindicated in patients who have shown sensitivity to any components of this preparation and in patients with arterial leg ulcers.


Precautions

FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY. Store at room temperature. Keep out of the reach of children. This product is STERILE unless the pouch is torn or opened.

Adverse reactions : ZIPZOC may rarely cause side effects including skin reactions such as rash, reddening, itching or further deterioration of the wound. If you experience any of these or other effects, please consult your doctor.

Dosage and administration First, wash your hands thoroughly before applying the stocking. Slip your foot into the stocking and draw it up on the lower part of the leg from the base of the toes to below the knee. Smooth out any folds or wrinkles. Fold any excess stocking below the knee. An outer bandage may be applied to compress the leg and/or to prevent soiling clothes. Change the dressing at least once a week to avoid the risk of infection. To remove ZIPZOC , carefully cut off and dispose of the stocking.
