Splinting

Splinting

Splints, also known as the pocket cast, are some of the common and used first aid and emergency accessories available. Medical-grade splints are useful in protecting the forearm and wrists in case of emergency. They are also lightweight and can be easily stored and transported.

Most splints are made with foam padding that allows for greater comfort with the adaptability to be used in various emergency scenarios. The foam padding also acts as a shock absorber. The other side of the padding has non-absorbent padding for protecting injured parts. They can also be cut with scissors to fit the injured area.

There are a number of different splints available depending on the injury or medical situation. Conforming splints are easy to apply and clean up. The splint also allows for greater mobility.
